Hi everyone,
I'm a final year student completing a project with a rehabilitation service in Adelaide, South Australia. The project involves creating guidelines for the use of video feedback in stroke rehabilitation. We are particularly focusing on how video can be used with clients during functional tasks to increase self-awareness. There is some great literature around the topic, but it would also be good to get an idea of how therapists are currently using video in practice.
I am wondering if any of you have experience using video feedback and whether there is a process you typically follow when reviewing video footage with clients? For example, do you provide verbal feedback first, focus on strengths rather than weaknesses, wait until the next therapy session to actually review the video footage?
Video feedback is used for a variety of reasons with many different clients, so it would be great to hear from anyone who uses video - regardless of the clients you work with.
Thanks,
Annabel
