Our Contribution & Commitment to all the OTs in the World!
World Federation of the Occupational Therapists (WFOT)
Dearest Occupational Therapists,
I hope my letter finds you well and healthy.
With every difficulty, there is always a relief!
We find ourselves today dealing with an unprecedented situation. The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has been dynamic and intense for all of us in the past months. We have been asking questions which would have seemed unthinkable just a few months ago. How can we best protect our teams? How do we keep our OTs running and productive?
With so much confusion out there, I wanted to reach out and share with you the real-time actions we are taking at and how we are supporting OTs. Helping our OTs is core to who we are. We would love to support our special and dynamic OTs by providing access to a number of best practices to ensure their safety and well-being while working remotely from home through our top tips on maximizing healthy remote working. We believe that should have a positive significant impact on their ability to deliver.
Per say, we at the OT Program at Batterjee Medical College located in Saudi Arabia have developed not only a diagnostic but also a preventive as well as a therapeutic tool entitled "Computer Workstation Set-up: Self-Assessment Checklist" that we would love to share with the OTs who have lately transitioned to working at home through telerehabilitation and telehealth services.
To better evaluate your current workstation ergonomics and needs, we would like you to fill in a quick survey which will lead you to getting full access to the tool itself.
Kindly open the survey link below:

As we continue to navigate this new normal, our hearts go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Moments like this, reminds us that we are all connected. We are called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. Kindness, patience and partnership will get us through this and we are here for you.
On behalf of the OT Program, we wish you well.
Thank you for your time, cooperation, and participation.
Hail to WFOT!
Very truly yours,
Dr. Hassan Izzeddin Sarsak, PhD, OT
