ememmy
Hello! Nice to meet you.
My name is Emily, I'm 25 years old and I started an Occupational Therapy (BSc Hons) Degree Apprenticeship this September. I am hoping to connect with other students around the world, from far off places that may have a very different way of lift to us in England. (We have an NHS and social care system that fully funds everybody's OT treatment, paid for by our National Insurance taxes on any income.) I used to be a professional wedding photographer before I began to work in social care and was then granted a fully funded apprenticeship into Occupational Therapy - which is amazing because making a positive difference in someone's life is what I've always wanted to do!
Things I love: Travelling, Writing, Photography. Reading, Video games (mostly Xbox!), Board Games, Good Food, ANIMALS (I have had loads over the years), Positive and Progressive Change, Supporting Others, My children
Please feel free to get in touch and tell me a little bit about you, and the way your practice might differ in your country! 😃
Side note on international practice: I visited Japan in January after being interested in the culture, Shinto religion, and way of life - and absolutely adored it. My long-term partner and I are hoping to eventually move to Japan, and hopefully practice OT there one day. I really like the way of life, the healthy positive attitude, kind people, organised systems and everything else that just WORKS over there. The values are further aligned with my own, and the health benefits and practices really resonate with me. (Although I don't see that happening for at least a decade!)
OT ROY Ngere.
Hi Emmemy
my name Roy Kenya, turning 32years in September 2021. Currently practicing As an assistant Occupational therapist. I'd also like to know more about the Apprenticeship. Kenya is a beautiful East African nation, maybe you could one day visit and go on a Safari.
