What is your understanding of the Quality Evaluation Process so far?

Good morning :-)

I am wondering about the connection and order of expactations and issues. During the Module it is described to think about expectations and then about the Indicator. Later it is mentioned that it can help to write down the issues as well, to describe why the expectation can not be met at the moment.

But in the Case Study the Issues are mentioned before the expectations. Which way round makes more sense and how should the expectations and issues be connected to the SWAT analysis?

In the Unite 4 exercise issues are not mentioned at all. I am trying to have a connection between all the singe steps within each dimension. Is that right?

I am looking forward to an exchange on thoughts on these topics.

Completing a SWOT analysis and identifying quality issues were included in the QUEST manual as optional exercises that may be taken to assist with the quality evaluation process. Conducting the exercises may occur before or after identifying service expectations, depending on factors such as the level of awareness of existing concerns and expectations regarding the quality of service provided. It is sometimes helpful to conduct a SWOT analysis initially to assist with developing insight into potential quality expectation and issues. However if quality expectations are fairly clear, the SWOT analysis can help to generate discussion about factors that influence meeting the identified expectations. What is most important about the process is developing a clear idea of the types of measures that would be meaningful to ensure quality.
