OT service in Germany

Hi OTs,
I have a patient that will be going back to Germany. She is an infant that needs to have hand splints, do OT in Germany make hand splints? I also wanted to know OTs do constraint on infants in Germany. My understanding is they will be outside of Munich. Any assistance I can give this family would be appreciated.

Hi Annette, I live and work in the Berlin area as a freelance private Paediatric OT. I’be not been here for ages but I’ve found the medical and all services around here to be excellent and very proactive because it is insurance based health care. I don’t have any doubt that they will be able to get all and any services they want. There is even a good ability to shop around if one provider doesn’t want to treat in the way a customer wants.
