I am interested in working in Mexico as an Occupational Therapist. I have been practicing in the USA for 5+ years as an OT. Would anyone be able to help me understand the requirements to legally practice. I understand I need a visa. My husband is Mexican so I am not too worried about the visa and staying in the country legally. Otherwise I understand I need my license. I am having trouble understanding the application process.
Do I need to certify my Master's Of Occupational Therapy in order to work in Mexico?
I see this page: https://dgair.sep.gob.mx/storage/recursos/DIR/req_reva_est.pdf
I have all the documents requested and translated but I am obviously unable to pay the fee due to not having a CURP.
How do I apply for my license?
Would anyone be able to give me the most basic outline so that if I do not need to do things like certify my education I am not wasting time, and what agencies/organizations do I need to contact?
Does anyone know the job market in Mexico for OTs? And has anyone had success translating their Master's or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy into another career such as education or another health related field?
Thank you
