Hello!!! My name is Candelaria, I´m from Argentina but living n Barcelona from 2017. I'm not going to lie; it's challenging to work as an occupational therapist (OT) in Spain. Although the profession is becoming more and more recognized, and there are more private centers offering OT jobs, opportunities in the public sector are limited. Unlike in Argentina, doctors here don't usually refer patients to occupational therapy, perhaps schools do more often (if they are familiar with the profession). I'm in the process of getting my degree recognized (since many jobs require you to have a registration number), and I've been waiting for three years. The process is very slow, and because of this, I've been turned down for several jobs. However, in the private sector, it's easier to get hired without the recognition.
