Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start a conversation around best practices and challenges we face when working in acute mental health facilities. This setting can be dynamic, unpredictable, and often very demanding, but it also offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate and profound impact on a patient’s recovery journey.
Here are a few areas I’d love to hear your thoughts on:
Service User Feedback: How do you gather service user feedback? I’d be keen to hear how you reflect patient voices in shaping your therapeutic approach and evaluating outcomes.
Therapeutic Input in the High Observation Ward: Do you provide any therapeutic groups in the High Obs ward? Do you provide individual therapeutic support to service users in high obs without a specific referral? What type of therapeutic input do you find most effective in this setting? How do you engage patients in meaningful activities despite how uwell they are?
I look forward to hearing your experiences, strategies, and any tools or approaches that have worked well for you.
Thanks in advance for your insights!
Best regards,
Molly
