Hello everyone,
My name is Rasha Saleh Ali, and I am an occupational therapy graduate from Al-Manarah University in Latakia, Syria. I currently live in Oman and I’m planning to move to the UAE either to work or continue my education in the field of occupational therapy.
During our education, we worked very hard despite the difficult conditions in Syria, and we were taught by qualified professors from European countries, including Italy. Unfortunately, I learned from the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) that my program is not currently accredited by them. However, they kindly advised me to reach out through this platform to seek help and guidance from fellow professionals.
Has anyone successfully obtained recognition or a license in the UAE with a non-WFOT-accredited degree?
What steps can I take to support the recognition process, especially considering the challenges in Syria and the limited access to international accreditation?
I would be truly grateful for any advice, shared experiences, or support.
Warm regards,
Rasha Saleh Ali
