Hi everyone,
I am in search for overseas student volunteer opportunities for about 1 month in OT, from Jan-Feb 2018. Ideally in Asia.
Although my university is offering course credit by partnering programs with Antipodeans and Projects-Abroad, I am struggling to justify the cost (min. $4,000 AUD excluding flights).
I would really appreciate any suggestions of other programs, or clinics/hospitals that take on OT students as well as any tips and advice from this online OT community. 🙂

A little about myself: I am a Canadian MOT student currently studying first year at the University of Sydney. I have worked with children with ASD for 4 years as a behavioural therapist, and as an education assistant or teacher's aid for 1.5 years working with students (K-12) or various disabilities. As well, I have volunteered at a pediatric clinic in Canada for 1 year as a therapy aide. Working with children was the thing that drew me into being an OT, but I am now open to explore all areas of OT.
Much appreciated,
Sharon
