OT and prehabilitation in oncologic surgery
Hi everyone!
I'm really glad I found this forum, because a worldwide community is something that can enrich anyone.
So, let me introduce: I'm an OT student from Italy (here OTs aren't really known) and I'm looking for opinions and comparison about a specific topic. For my future dissertation I would like to investigate the role of OTs in gynecologic oncology (especially in the moment of surgery).
I read about prehabilitation..but on pubmed I read just about PTs. So my question is: what's the role of OT in the prehabilitation of gynecological cancer surgery? Maybe education, information (example: how to access services if needed), wound care and..?
Thank you really much,
xoxo
