In response to requests from some of our membership, please use this topic thread as a forum in which to share relevant resources, reflections and ideas over the coming weeks and months.

Please note that content/ideas shared in this forum are not necessarily the views of, or endorsed by, the AOTI.

Re: AOTI: Current practice and reflections in Ireland

The World Health Organisation has published the following resource: 'Clinical management of severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) when COVID-19 disease is suspected'

While the  document as a whole is useful, OTs may have a particular interest in sections:
8: Management of critical COVID-19: acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) - pages 8-9 (includes guidance around prone ventilation)
9: Management of critical illness and COVID-19: prevention of complications - page 10 (includes guidance around mobilisation, pressure care)
14: Caring for older persons with COVID-19 - page 15 (includes guidance around assessment, cognitive decline, MDT working).
